Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, has announced the donation of N200 million as intervention to communities damaged by windstorms in the state.
Mohammmed annnouced the intervention on Sunday during a visit to sympathise with the people of Dass Local Government Area following a devastating windstorm that swept through several communities.
He noted the extent of damage caused, including the destruction of homes, public buildings, and farmlands.
While assessing the scale of the destruction, he said that the affected communities include Durr, Wandi, Bagel Bundot, and Dass town, where the windstorm destroyed homes and farmlands leaving many residents in dire need of support.
The governor directed emergency response teams to expedite relief efforts, and he sympathised with the Emir of Dass at his palace.
Mohammed expressed deep sorrow over the destruction caused by the natural disaster.
