In a remarkable show of unity and strategic grassroots engagement, Hon. Emeka Obioma, Member representing Umuahia South State Constituency and Chief Whip of the Abia State House of Assembly, led a high-powered stakeholders’ meeting under the aegis of the Abia Arise Movement at the Ezeleke/Ogbodiukwu Ward Chapter.
The meeting, which brought together ward executives, political stakeholders, community leaders, and youth representatives, was convened to deliberate on the developmental journey of the constituency, evaluate ongoing grassroots mobilization efforts, and affirm the ward’s resounding support for the re-election of His Excellency, Dr. Alex Otti, in 2027.
In his remarks, Hon. Emeka Obioma described the gathering as “timely, strategic, and deeply encouraging.” He praised the commitment of the ward leadership and community stakeholders who continue to demonstrate loyalty and dedication to the vision of a better Abia State.
“Today’s meeting is not just about politics, it is about purpose. We came together to review our progress, strengthen our unity, and prepare for the journey ahead,” Hon. Obioma stated.
“We are proud of the great work Gov Alex Otti has done. From infrastructure renewal to civil service reform and the restoration of public trust, his leadership has redefined what is possible in Abia State.”
The lawmaker emphasized that Ezeleke and Ogbodiukwu Ward remain a solid pillar of support for Gov Alex Otti, noting that the ongoing development initiatives under the Labour Party-led government have brought visible transformation across communities in Abia South and beyond.
“We are not blind to the progress that has come under this administration. From road rehabilitation to healthcare investments, the impact of Dr Alex Otti's leadership is evident,” he said.
“That is why our support for his second term is not just political, it is a moral duty to sustain the momentum of change.”
The stakeholders took turns to express their unwavering confidence in both Gov Otti’s leadership and Hon. Emeka Obioma’s representation at the state assembly. Resolutions were passed to begin ward-level mobilization, community sensitization, and voter education campaigns in preparation for the 2027 general elections.
In a passionate closing remark, Hon. Obioma declared;
“Let it be known that in Ezeleke and Ogbodiukwu Ward, we are ready. We are organized, we are mobilized, and we are determined to ensure that Dr Alex Otti’s re-election is a landslide victory. Forward ever, backward never!”
The meeting ended with a renewed spirit of collaboration and a clear roadmap for continued engagement and political advocacy, reinforcing Hon. Emeka Obioma’s role as a bridge between the government and the grassroots in the march toward a greater Abia.
