Abia State, Nigeria — July 1, 2025
Entrepreneur and philanthropist, Akym Onyekwere Uche, has shared a heartfelt message to mark the beginning of July, calling on Nigerians to embrace the new month with renewed optimism, compassion, and a commitment to service.
In his message issued to newsmen on Monday, Onyekwere urged citizens, especially Abia North youth, to rise above discouragement and focus on making a positive impact in their communities.
“Let’s begin July with hope in our hearts and service in our hands,” he said. “Hope reminds us that better days are possible, no matter how challenging things may seem. And service is how we turn that hope into reality, for ourselves and for others.”
Akym Onyekwere, known for his empowerment initiatives across Abia State, emphasized the need for collective responsibility and people-centered development.
He said the month of July presents another opportunity for individuals to recommit to values that foster unity, innovation, and community growth.
“The truth is, Abia North is full of capable, talented people,” Onyekwere remarked.
“But what we need more than ever is the spirit of service, young people who see leadership not as a title, but as a responsibility to uplift others. We need teachers who serve with love, entrepreneurs who build with integrity, and leaders who act with compassion.”
He further urged his followers and the youth of Abia North not to allow discouragement or setbacks from the first half of the year define the rest of it. Instead, he encouraged them to approach July with intentionality and purpose, stating that personal growth and community progress often come through small, consistent acts of kindness and diligence.
“There’s still time to achieve those goals you set at the start of the year. Don’t give up,” he said. “Start again if you must. But whatever you do, do it with a spirit of service and gratitude. There is always something you can give, your time, your skills, your voice, or your resources. Use it to light someone else’s path.”
Akym also expressed his gratitude to those who have supported his community development projects, educational sponsorships, and outreach programs, promising to expand efforts in the coming weeks.
“I am deeply grateful for everyone who has partnered with us in empowering others,” he said. “From school fees support to mentorship, these are not just acts of charity, they are investments in our shared future. And in July, we plan to do even more.”
In conclusion, Akym Onyekwere reiterated that the combination of hope and service is a powerful force capable of transforming lives and societies. He encouraged Abians to remain optimistic and proactive in building the kind of nation they dream of.
“Hope without action is empty,” he concluded. “But when we serve, even in small ways, we give our hope hands and feet. So let’s walk into July determined to be agents of change.”
