The National body of practicing Journalists in the country, the Nigeria Union of Journalists will on Thursday this week, 24/3/2022 bestow on the Member Representing Ikwuano/ Umuahia North and Umuahia South Federal Constituency, Hon. Chief Sam Onuigbo with the award of Excellence on Bills and Motions.
A release by the National President of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Chief Chris Isiguzo puts the venue of the event at the International Conference Centre Abuja while time is 7pm.
According to the release, the award which is the maiden edition of the NUJ Legislative award is being given to deserving members of the National Assembly who have distinguished themselves and elevated the legislature in the performance of lawmaking roles.
The release further stated that the choice of Hon. Chief Sam Onuigbo for the award also came about as a result of his contributions to the development and deepening of democracy in the country.
