A former Anambra First Lady, and wife of the Labour Party Presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, Mrs. Margaret Obi has encouraged Abia women to intensify their support for her husband and Labour Party Presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, assuring that the Obi-led government would prioritise the welfare and wellbeing of women.
Mrs..Margaret Obi spoke during a Town Hall meeting with Aba women held at the Mater Dei Catherine Umuahia, which was part of programmes lined up during the just concluded visit of the LP Presidential candidate Mr. Peter Obi.
She recalled that when her husband was the governor of Anambra state, women occupied a pride of place in the government and assured that same will be replicated when he becomes the Preaident.
Mrs. Obi reminded Abia women that they were lucky to have the Labour Party governorship candidate, Dr. Alex Otti and other men of capacity in their midst who have the potentials to lift the state, and enjoined them to throw their full support behind them.
In her speech, the wife of the Abia Labour Party governorship candidate, Mrs. Priscilla Otti poured ecumuim on her guest, Mrs Obi, describing her as a leader and amiable woman who has the capacity and experience to better the life of women and younger people in Nigeria.
Mrs. Otti reminded Abia Women of the need to consolidate their place as number one in the nation by voting massively for Labour Party all the way.
In her contribution, the Labour Party National women leader who was one of the speakers at the event,reminded the women of their roles as Nation builders and charged them not to sit back and let things go worse.
She encouraged them to become evangelists of good message by telling everyone to support and vote Labour Party.
