Hon. Barr. Anderson Kelechi Akaliro, a member of the Abia State House of Assembly, has commended the former Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly, Engr Chinedum Orji, for his decision to join the All Progressives Congress (APC).
In a statement issued today, Hon. Akaliro described Engr Orji's defection as a "welcome development" and a "boost to the party in Abia State".
"Engr Chinedum Orji is a respected leader and a seasoned politician who will bring his wealth of experience and knowledge to our great party", the lawmaker said. "His decision to join the APC is a testament to the growing popularity of our party in Abia State and beyond".
Hon. Anderson Akaliro urged Engr Orji to work closely with other party members to ensure the success of the APC in the state, and thanked him for his commitment to the party's ideals.
"We look forward to working with Engr Orji to bring about positive change to our dear state and country", the lawmaker added.
