Barr. Akaliro Cautions Hon Chijioke Chukwu Over Statements Capable of Disintegrating Abia APC

Hon. Barr. Anderson Akaliro, member representing Umuahia North State Constituency(APC), has cautioned Hon Chijioke Chukwu, the former Minority Leader of the Abia State House of Assembly, over making statements that could disintegrate the party in the state.

Recall that the immediate-past member of the Abia State House of Assembly who represented Bende North Constituency, Hon. Chukwu Chijioke, took a swipe at the ex-minister of State for Mines and Steel Development, Uchechukwu Ogah and Senator Orji Uzor Kalu over the lingering leadership crisis ravaging the Abia chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Stating that the Senator conspired with Uche Sampson Ogah, and took sitting members to court.
Thereby accusing them of destroying the party in the build-up to the just concluded 2023 elections in Abia State.

Speaking to newsmen in Umuahia, Hon Anderson Akaliro expressed concern that Hon Chukwu's recent statements could create divisions and destabilize the party, which could have far-reaching consequences for the APC in Abia State.

"We understand that the former lawmaker has the right to express his opinions, but we urge him to consider the implications of his words on the party. We must work together to build a united and strong APC in Abia State, and avoid statements that could create cracks and disintegrate the party," Hon. Akaliro said.

Hon. Akaliro's caution comes at a time when the APC in Abia State is working to strengthen its structures and prepare for future elections. The party has been urged to maintain unity and avoid internal conflicts that could undermine its chances of success.
