House Member, Barr. Anderson Akaliro Urges Constituents to Embrace Peace and Unity on World Day of Living Together in Peace

As the world marks the International Day of Living Together in Peace today, 18th May 2024, Hon. Anderson Akaliro, member representing Umuahia North Constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly, has called on his constituents to embrace peace and unity in their daily lives.

Speaking at a press briefing with some journalists and his constituents, Hon. Akaliro emphasized the importance of living in harmony with one another, regardless of cultural, religious, or political differences. He stressed that peace is a fundamental human right and a prerequisite for sustainable development.

"As we celebrate this international day, I urge you all to reflect on the importance of peace in our lives," Hon. Akaliro said. "Let us strive to build bridges of understanding and tolerance, and work together towards a more harmonious and prosperous community."

The lawmaker also highlighted the need for collective efforts to address the challenges facing the constituency, including infrastructure development, education, and healthcare. He assured his constituents that he would continue to work tirelessly to attract projects and resources to the area.
