A frontline APC stalwart in Abia State, Ex Minister and an entrepreneur of note, Dr. Uche Ogah has called for peace, good inter-party relation and cohesion in Abia APC.
He made the clarion call on the 18th May at Umuahia while hosting an expanded APC party meeting which has in attendance all interest groups including that of OUK Movement, Rt. Hon. Ben Kalu, Abia APC Integrity, Loyal Supporters of Hon. Nkiru Onyejiocha, Abia Rejoice, Sen. Nkechi supporters and others..
The doyen of Abia Rejoice made it very clear during the meeting that Abia APC remains one united family and there is no faction whatsoever within the party in Abia hence he charged all the groups to collaborate and work together as a team and propagate the party within their respective localities.
Dr. Ogah told the members that just as Abia State is the number one in Nigeria's alphabetical order, he said that Abia APC can set a positive standard and become a leading light for other State chapters to copy.
He said, "Yes, we are not the party in power in our state but our duty to Abians is to criticize the present govt constructively and objectively to ensure good governance to our people...We mustn't blackmail but engage on issues".
All the leaders of the different interest groups that attended the meeting thanked Dr. Uche Ogah for his wonderful initiative to bring all structures in one table to discuss the way forward...
In conclusion, the leader and spokesperson of all the groups, Elder. Ukaegbu Madukwe
prayed for a continuous peace in Abia State and APC as a political party and declared that it is a new dawn for APC Abia State.
