His Imperial Majesty, Sir Mishak Nnanta calls on President Tinubu to grant Nnamdi Kanu Clemency


His Imperial Majesty Sir Mishak Nnanta kjw. Gburugburu Ndigbo dum, President Igbo world union have called on President Bola Tinubu to release Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), as part of efforts to find political solutions to the security challenges in the South-East region.

Recall that Justice Binta Nyako of the Federal High Court in Abuja, has quite recently dismissed the request by the detained leader of the Biafra nation agitators, Nnamdi Kanu, for the restoration of his revoked bail and the removal from the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS), to a house arrest or Prison custody 

The monarch made the appeal to the President in a statement released today. 

Also, In the statement, Gburugburu expressed his commitment to peace and stability in the region and urged the President to consider political solutions to address the underlying issues driving the agitation for secession.

He further commended the President for his efforts to address the security challenges in the region and expressed his support for his administration's initiatives to promote peace and development in the South-East.

The call for Nnamdi Kanu's release is seen as a significant step towards finding a political solution to the security challenges in the region, and it is hoped that the President will consider the monarch's appeal to grant Kanu clemency and release him from detention.
