The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abia State has continued to grow tremendously as a former House of Assembly Member Representing Ukwa East Constituency, who served as a Majority Leader of Abia House of Assembly, Hon. Chief Paul Taribo joins the party after his resignation from PDP.
Hon. Anderson Kelechi Akaliro, a prominent figure in APC and Member representing Umuahia North Constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly, has officially welcomed Hon. Taribo, the former Majority Leader of the Abia State House of Assembly to the APC family, stating that the party is growing stronger by the day.
"Abia APC is increasing in number by the day, and we are delighted to have Hon. Paul Taribo join our team," Akaliro said.
"His wealth of experience and political pedigree will undoubtedly enrich our party and contribute to our mission to bring positive change to Abia State."
Akaliro further stated that the former majority Leader's dedication to public service will strengthen the party.
" This move is expected to bolster the APC's position in the region, setting the stage for a dynamic political environment in the upcoming elections" he opined.
Honorable Taribo's defection is seen as a major gain for the APC.
His decision to join the APC is a testament to the party's growing popularity and acceptance in Abia State.
According to the Umuahia North Rep, "this development is expected to energize the APC’s base in Abia State. We are optimistic about the prospects of strengthened leadership and a unified front in the political arena".
