Abia Assembly APC Member Akaliro Moves to Unite Party; Leads 2023 APC Candidates to Abuja

In a significant move aimed at fostering unity within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abia State, Honourable Anderson Akaliro, member of the Abia House of Assembly representing Umuahia North has led a delegation of all APC Candidates in the 2023 election to Abuja.
The delegation met with the party's National Working Committee to address and resolve internal differences.

Accompanying the delegation was Donatus Nwankpa, the National Welfare Secretary of the APC, who played a crucial role in the discussions. The delegation's primary goal was to ensure that the party remains cohesive and strong ahead of future political engagements.

During the meeting, Honourable Akaliro acknowledged the universal nature of internal conflicts within political parties but underscored the importance of proactively identifying and addressing these issues.
He expressed his confidence in the Abia APC's resilience and ability to overcome any challenges, stating, "No political party is immune to internal conflicts, but what sets us apart is our commitment to resolving these issues and emerging stronger."

In response to questions about alleged factions and discord within the Abia APC, Akaliro categorically denied such claims, asserting that the party is "stronger than ever."
He highlighted the recent influx of high-profile politicians into the party as a testament to its stability and appeal, remarking, "They wouldn't join a sinking ship."

The delegation's efforts were further bolstered by the presence of the National Vice Chairman for the South East, who reaffirmed the party's commitment to unity and strategic growth in the region.

The meetings in Abuja are seen as a strategic move to consolidate the party's base in Abia and ensure that any lingering disputes are amicably resolved. The initiative by Akaliro and his team is expected to pave the way for a more united and formidable APC in Abia State, setting the stage for future electoral successes.
