Abia Lawmaker, Anderson Akaliro Praises Tinubu, Ben Kalu's Relationship As Great Asset To Southeast

Umuahia North Rep, Hon. Barr Anderson Kelechi Akaliro, has commended President Bola Tinubu and Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu, for their instrumental roles in the signing of the South East Development Commission (SEDC) bill into law.

Akalio described the relationship between Tinubu and Kalu as a "great asset" to the Southeast region, praising Kalu for utilizing his office and connection with the President to positively impact the SEDC bill. 
He also lauded Tinubu for signing the bill into law in record time, ensuring even development across the country.

The lawmaker acknowledged the significance of the SEDC bill, stating that it is a strategic move towards the development of the Southeast. 
He expressed gratitude to Tinubu and Kalu, saying, "Ndigbo are not ingrates, we appreciate President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for breaking the jinx of 54 years... We are deeply appreciative to Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu for asking the president to remember Ndigbo by signing the SEDC Bill into law."

Akalio also drew parallels between the SEDC initiative and the vision of Dr. M.I. Okpara, a renowned Igbo leader. 
"The SouthEast Development Commission, as actualized through the effort of Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu, is like the vision of Dr. M.I. Okpara has been revisited... to foster economic development in the Southeast."

In conclusion, Akalio appealed to President Tinubu to initiate more developmental programs and projects for the Southeast region, building on the momentum of the SEDC bill signing.
