Igbo World Union Hails Bianca Ojukwu’s Appointment As Minister of Foreign Affairs (State), Says It's a Well-Deserved Honor

The Igbo World Union (IWU) has extended its heartfelt congratulations to Amb. Dr. Bianca Odimegwu Ojukwu on her recent appointment as the Minister of Foreign Affairs (State) of Nigeria. 

The prestigious group, which represents the interests of the Igbo people globally, described her appointment as well-deserved, praising her dedication to public service and her long-standing contributions to the nation.

In a statement released today, Thursday, the President-General of the IWU, His Imperial Majesty, Ambassador Sir Dr. Mishak Nnanta (KJW, KSM, JP), also known as Gburugburu Ndigbo Dum, lauded Amb. Dr Bianca as a woman of many firsts. 
"She is a shining example of excellence, selflessness, and a trailblazer in her field," he said, commending her accomplishments in diplomacy, law, and business.

Bianca Odimegwu Ojukwu, a seasoned diplomat and former Presidential Advisor, has previously held esteemed roles, including serving as Nigeria’s Ambassador to Ghana and later as the country’s Ambassador to Spain in 2012. A former beauty queen, she has also held multiple international pageant titles, including Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria, Miss Africa, and Miss Intercontinental.

Gburugburu Ndigbo Dum emphasized that over the years, Bianca has consistently demonstrated her commitment to public service and the nation's development. 
"Her grace, intellect, and dedication to her work have earned her respect both at home and abroad," he added.

As the new Minister of Foreign Affairs (State), Dr. Bianca Ojukwu is expected to bring her wealth of experience and leadership to Nigeria’s diplomatic missions, further enhancing the country’s global standing.
