OziomaChi, We Cannot Easily Forget The Love You Showed Us - Amabo Akoliufu Community

Hon. Ibekwe Nnamdi Chimdi, the pragmatic Lawmaker representing Bende North Constituency in Abia State, recently visited Amabo Akoliufu Alayi community, where he engaged in meaningful discussions and interactions that reinvigorated the spirit of Umunna and strengthened community ties.

During his visit, community leaders, led by the  President General Deacon Akachukwu Ekeoma, took Hon. Ibekwe on a tour of various sites affected by erosion, particularly abandoned ancestral homes that have forced many residents to relocate. 
This visit highlighted the pressing challenges posed by erosion menace in the area and underscored Hon. Ibekwe's call through HAB 2 for urgent action. 

On October 8, 2024, the esteemed Honourable Members of Abia State House of Assembly had unanimously requested that a state of emergency be declared on erosion in Bende North and throughout Abia State to address the imminent displacement crisis among constituents.
Hon. Ibekwe expressed his belief that the erosion menace is a challenge that can be overcome. 
"Humanity has the inherent ability to conquer difficulties and thrive," he stated. 
He emphasized that the  *can-do*  Umunna and Abia spirits could be galvanized to achieve meaningful change. Drawing inspiration from the exemplary Netherlands flooding management experience in the 14th century, he expressed confidence that with strategic collaboration, innovation, and proactive approaches, the menace could be addressed.
In a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered on behalf of the Amabo Akoliufu Alayi Development Union Worldwide, the President General Deacon Akachukwu Ekeoma expressed deep appreciation for Hon. Ibekwe's commitment to addressing critical issues such as erosion challenges. 
He noted that the visit was a significant gesture of support, reinforcing the bonds between the lawmaker and his constituents.

Various community leaders highlighted that Hon. Ibekwe's bisit did not only bring hope but also demonstrated his dedication to improving the lives of people in Bende North. The President-General concluded by wishing him continued success in his endeavours and expressing optimism for future collaborations that would benefit Amabo Akoliufu Alay community.

As members of this community reflect on Hon.
