Umuahia, Abia State —
Hon. Emeka Obioma, member representating Umuahia South in Abia State House of Assembly, has demonstrated his dedication to fulfilling campaign promises by launching several infrastructure and community development projects across his constituency.
During his election campaign, Obioma visited Itaja Ehere in Olokoro and committed to enhancing the community hall, a central hub for gatherings and activities.
True to his word, the lawmaker recently announced the completion of the project.
"The community hall has been fully renovated, with the interior now tiled and painted, and the veranda beautifully tiled to enhance its appearance," Hon. Obioma disclosed.
"This project has transformed the hall into a more functional and aesthetically pleasing space for community activities."
The completion of the hall is just one part of his broader mission to address the needs of the people of Umuahia South.
Recognizing an urgent issue at the health center opposite the community hall, Hon. Obioma stepped in to resolve a collapsed borehole that had left the facility without water.
By installing a new borehole, he restored the water supply, significantly improving hygiene and service delivery at the center.
In line with his commitment to ensuring safe and reliable water access across the constituency, Hon. Obioma has initiated two additional borehole projects. These will include the construction of tank stands, installation of tanks, and water pumps.
The projects, set to be completed by the end of this month, will serve:
1. Ogbodiukwu Health Centre and Ezeleke/Ogbodi Community in Ezeleke/Ogbodi Ward.
2. Ipupe Health Centre and Ubakala Ward A Community.
Speaking about these developments, Hon. Obioma reaffirmed his dedication to improving the lives of his constituents.
"We promised to serve, and we are delivering. Expect more—we will do more," he said.
Hon. Obioma’s initiatives highlight his focus on addressing critical needs in health, water supply, and infrastructure, ensuring that promises made during the campaign are turned into meaningful action for the people of Umuahia South.
