Hon. Emeka Obioma, Chief Whip and member representing Umuahia South Constituency in Abia State House of Assembly, has commended Governor Alex Otti for his proactive support of the federal government's Abia Airport project, a significant infrastructure initiative set to enhance the state's economic and strategic positioning.
The airport project, spearheaded by the federal government, aims to establish an international-standard airport in Abia State.
Governor Otti has been instrumental in facilitating the project's smooth progress by ensuring alignment between the state government and federal authorities.
Speaking to newsmen in Umuahia, Hon. Obioma, praised the governor's collaborative approach.
"Governor Otti’s support for the federal government’s plan to establish the Abia Airport is a testament to his dedication to the welfare and progress of Abians. His administration's efforts to ensure this project is realized will position our state for greatness."
Hon. Obioma went further to highlight Governor Otti’s exemplary leadership qualities. "Dr. Alex Otti has consistently demonstrated a rare level of commitment to improving Abia State. His ability to harmonize efforts between the state and federal government showcases his deep understanding of governance and his determination to leave a lasting legacy," he said.
He also credited the governor for prioritizing projects that have long-term benefits for Abians.
"While others might have focused on quick, superficial projects, Governor Otti is laying the foundation for sustainable growth. This airport project is just one example of his foresight and dedication to making Abia the pride of the southeast," Obioma added.
The lawmaker commended the governor for actively engaging stakeholders and ensuring transparency in the process.
