Hon. Emeka Obioma, the representative of Umuahia South Constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly, has called on Christian faithful to prioritize their relationship with God as they navigate the new year.
In a statement to newsmen in Umuahia on Sunday, the lawmaker emphasized the importance of anchoring personal and communal endeavors on divine principles.
“I want to encourage all Christian faithful this new year to make God their bedrock in all they do,” Hon. Obioma said.
“The challenges we face as individuals and as a nation require not just hard work and perseverance but also a deep reliance on divine guidance. When we align our lives with God’s will, we can overcome obstacles and achieve lasting success.”
The lawmaker stressed that 2025 presents an opportunity for reflection, growth, and renewed commitment to values that strengthen families, communities, and the nation. He urged citizens to embrace unity, compassion, and hard work, emphasizing that these virtues are essential for societal progress.
“Our nation faces many hurdles, but we must not lose hope. Instead, let us draw strength from our faith and work together to create a better future. As a people, we must rely on God’s wisdom while taking deliberate steps to improve our lives and the lives of those around us,” he added.
Hon. Obioma also reaffirmed his dedication to serving the people of Umuahia South, pledging to continue championing initiatives in education, healthcare, and youth empowerment.
He noted that true progress is only achievable when leaders and citizens alike act with integrity, humility, and a sense of responsibility.
“As the representative of the good people of Umuahia South, I am committed to leading by example and ensuring that our community thrives.
