Ngwa Road Residents Applaud Aba Taskforce for marking Ngwa Rd by Ube illegal structures for Removal

Residents of Ngwa Road in Aba have expressed their support for the taskforce set up by the Abia State Government under the leadership of Governor Dr. Alex Otti to clear illegal structures in Aba and Umuahia.

Reports indicate that the taskforce has marked several makeshift container shops for removal. These shops, occupied by traders dealing in kerosene, plastic products, hairdressing, rice, and food spices, are located at Ngwa Road by Ube, leading to Danfodio and Enyimba Stadium.

According to our correspondent, the taskforce, led by its Vice Chairman, Mr. Emma Rich, has issued demolition notices to the affected traders, warning them to vacate the area within a few days.

Many residents have praised the taskforce for carrying out its duties without bias and for ensuring that the governor’s urban renewal agenda is not sabotaged.

It will be recalled that Governor Alex Otti had earlier directed the removal of all illegal structures across Abia State to restore order and enhance urban development.
