Umuahia North Rep, Anderson Akaliro, Launches Free JAMB Registration for 100 Constituents


Umuahia, Abia State – 

In a bid to promote education and support young scholars in his constituency, the member representing Umuahia North in the Abia State House of Assembly, Hon. Barr. Anderson Kelechi Akaliro, has officially commenced the free registration of 100 students for the 2025 Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Examination.


Addressing the selected candidates at his constituency office located at Olaedo Plaza, Ekeoba, opposite NNPC Mega Fuel Station, Hon. Akaliro congratulated the beneficiaries and encouraged them to take full advantage of the opportunity presented to them. He emphasized the importance of education in shaping their future and the role they must play in ensuring success in their academic pursuits.


"Education remains a key pillar in our society, and my administration is committed to empowering young minds with the necessary tools to succeed," Hon. Akaliro stated. 

"This free JAMB registration initiative is part of our broader vision to support education and reduce financial burdens on parents and guardians."


The lawmaker further urged the students to maintain discipline, focus on their studies, and conduct themselves honorably during the examinations.

"I implore you all to study hard and remain disciplined throughout this journey. Your success in this examination is not just for you, but also for your families, your community, and the future of our state," he added. 

"Make the best use of this opportunity, and I assure you that my office will continue to support education and youth development in our constituency."


Several beneficiaries expressed their gratitude for the initiative, stating that it had relieved them of the financial burden associated with the JAMB registration process. 

Parents and community leaders also lauded Hon. Akaliro’s commitment to education and youth empowerment.

This initiative is expected to encourage more students from Umuahia North to pursue higher education and contribute to the development of Abia State.
