The member representing Ikwuano/Umuahia North/Umuahia South Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Obi Aguocha, has reflected on his legislative journey, highlighting the achievements, challenges, and lessons from his ongoing tenure in the National Assembly.

Speaking during a media interaction in Umuahia, the federal lawmaker expressed deep appreciation to his constituents for their unwavering support, noting that his commitment to accountability, transparency, and people-oriented legislation has remained at the core of his service.

In the last one year, I have sponsored and supported critical bills and motions that speak directly to the needs of our people, especially in the areas of infrastructure, education, healthcare, and youth empowerment,” Aguocha said.

He listed among his notable efforts the bill to establish a Federal Medical Centre at Ikwuano, motions addressing ecological degradation in rural communities, and his role in advocating for improved federal presence in Abia State.

Reflecting on the challenges, Hon. Aguocha acknowledged that legislative work requires patience, persistence, and strategic collaboration.
It’s not magic. There are layers of consultation, negotiation, and lobbying before any result is achieved. But I am proud of the modest progress we’ve made,” he remarked.

He assured constituents that his focus remains unwavering, and that the second half of his tenure will bring even greater results through stronger community partnerships and sustained legislative advocacy.
