The Chief Whip of the Abia State House of Assembly and Member representing Umuahia South State Constituency, Hon. Emeka Tommy Obioma, over the weekend, hosted a ward meeting with leaders and members of the Abia Arise structure in Ezeleke/Ogbodi Ward.

The well-attended gathering held in Umuahia South served as a platform for the lawmaker to appreciate the dedication and loyalty of party faithful in the ward, while also re-echoing their collective commitment to the vision of a “New Abia” as championed by Gov Alex Otti.

While addressing the enthusiastic crowd of ward executives and supporters, Hon. Obioma emphasized the importance of continued grassroots unity and political maturity in sustaining the developmental strides of the current administration.

I want to sincerely thank the good people of Ezeleke/Ogbodi Ward, especially our executives and grassroots mobilizers, for your consistent support, loyalty, and maturity,” Obioma stated. “You are the strength of the Abia Arise Movement, and your enthusiasm gives us confidence that the vision of a better Abia is alive and thriving.”

The meeting also served as a rallying call for long-term political consolidation, as Hon. Obioma urged ward members to remain steadfast in their support of Gov Alex Otti beyond 2027.

“Dr Alex Otti is laying a solid foundation for generational change in Abia,” he continued. “But the sustainability of these reforms depends on our ability to keep mobilizing, organizing, and defending the New Abia vision at every level. Our work doesn’t end in 2027, it must go far beyond that.”

Obioma commended the Governor’s efforts in transforming critical sectors such as education, infrastructure, and public service reform, noting that the benefits are already being felt in communities like Umuahia South.

We have a government that listens, a government that acts, and one that puts the people first. From roads to schools and healthcare, the difference is clear. What we must do now is ensure continuity and consolidation.”

The meeting concluded with renewed pledges of loyalty from ward leaders, who affirmed their readiness to continue mobilizing support for the administration and promoting inclusive governance at the grassroots.
