The Chief Whip of the Abia State House of Assembly and Member representing Umuahia South State Constituency, Hon. Emeka Obioma, has expressed profound gratitude to the people of Umuopara Ahia Asaa for the overwhelming vote of confidence bestowed on him during the recently celebrated Iri-ji Umuopara Ahia Asaa Festival.
In a heartfelt message of appreciation, Hon. Obioma described the gesture as both humbling and inspiring, noting that it reaffirms the bond of trust between him and his people. According to him, the show of support further strengthens his commitment to serve with unwavering integrity, transparency, and dedication.
“I am humbled and deeply grateful for the overwhelming vote of confidence you bestowed on me during the Iri-ji Umuopara Ahia Asaa,” Obioma said. “This trust strengthens my resolve to serve with integrity, transparency, and dedication — ensuring meaningful development and opportunities for our people.”
The lawmaker emphasized that leadership is about service and inclusiveness, stressing that his vision remains anchored on improving the welfare of the people of Umuahia South through education, healthcare, infrastructure, youth empowerment, and community development.
“Together, we rise. Together, our voice will always be heard,” he assured, promising that the mandate given to him will not be taken for granted.
Obioma further commended the cultural value of the Iri-ji festival, which he described as a symbol of unity, progress, and thanksgiving among the people of Umuopara Ahia Asaa.
