Jigawa APC affirms loyalty to Tinubu, gov

The Jigawa State chapter of the All Progressives Congress has reaffirmed its loyalty to President Bola Tinubu and Governor Umar Namadi, warning that acts of disunity and disloyalty within the party will not be tolerated.

The pledge was made during a solidarity visit to Governor Namadi in Dutse on Saturday by APC leaders led by the state Deputy Chairman, Nasiru Jahun.

Jahun, who described Namadi as the “undisputed leader” of the APC in Jigawa, said the party stood firmly behind both the governor and the President.

“We are here to reaffirm our loyalty to you, our governor, Umar Namadi. You are our recognised leader in Jigawa,” he declared.

He added, “The APC leadership in Jigawa stands solidly behind President Tinubu and Governor Namadi, endorsing your continued leadership. Our loyalty to the governor is like that of the comical character ‘Maha’ to his teacher; without objection, whatever Malam says we will do, and wherever he directs us, we will follow.”

Jahun praised Namadi’s administration for what he called “wonderful transformation and unprecedented achievements within just two years” but cautioned that the party would not condone acts capable of undermining unity.

“Anyone found creating division or engaging in disloyalty will face disciplinary measures,” he warned.

In his response, Governor Namadi thanked the party leaders for their solidarity and assured them of continued cooperation with the APC at both state and federal levels.

“Our 12-point agenda closely aligns with President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, both grounded in sustainable development and the welfare of our people,” Namadi said.

He added, “This partnership between the federal and state governments will strengthen as we work towards a better future for our people. The solidarity you have shown today reflects a unified APC front in Jigawa, consolidating support ahead of the 2027 elections.”
