
The Kebbi State Government has expressed readiness to collaborate with HUAWEI Technology Company in security, education, and solar energy.
Governor Nasir Idris made this known on Thursday when he received a delegation from HUAWEI at the Government House, Birnin Kebbi.
He explained that the partnership aimed at improving governance and the well-being of citizens.
Idris said, “My government will work with you, especially on those key areas you mentioned, because they are very important to my administration.
“After scrutinising your proposal, we will decide on specific areas to partner with.”
Earlier, the leader of the delegation and Deputy Managing Director of HUAWEI Technology, Mr Kayson Young, explained that the partnership with Kebbi would support the state in tackling security challenges through the installation of CCTV cameras, strengthening anti-corruption efforts, advancing education, and promoting renewable energy solutions.
Also speaking, the partnership consultant, Abubakar Yahya-Abdullahi, emphasised that the partnership would enhance good governance and improve the living standards of the people of Kebbi State.
