The Ndigbo Renaissance Youth Forum has expressed full support for Hon. Obi Aguocha, applauding his unwavering advocacy and his renewed appeal to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to adopt political and diplomatic measures for the release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, who is currently serving a life imprisonment sentence.
In a statement issued in Umuahia, the group said they stand firmly with the lawmaker, “patting him on the back” as a mark of solidarity and trust in his courage and consistency. They noted that at a time when many leaders avoid sensitive national matters, Aguocha has shown uncommon boldness and a commitment to peace.
The youth forum emphasized that his persistent call for political and diplomatic engagement reflects a mature and constructive approach aimed at reducing tensions in the Southeast and strengthening national cohesion. They described Aguocha’s leadership as calm, focused, and rooted in fairness and justice.
