Abia State 2027 governorship aspirant, Chief Mascot Uzor-Kalu, has extended warm Christmas and New Year greetings to his supporters and the people of Abia State, calling for unity, peaceful coexistence, and a renewed collective commitment to shared progress as the festive season is celebrated.
In his goodwill message to mark the birth of Jesus Christ, Uzor-Kalu described Christmas as a profound season of reflection, gratitude, and moral renewal. He noted that the essence of the yuletide lies in its enduring message of love, sacrifice, and humility, virtues he said remain indispensable for fostering harmony and sustainable development within communities and across the state.
“As we celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, I extend my heartfelt Christmas and New Year greetings to my supporters and indeed all Abians,” Mascot Uzor-Kalu said.
“Christmas is a season that reminds us of the power of love, unity, and selfless service, values that must continue to guide our interactions as a people.”
He urged Abians to rise above differences and divisions, emphasizing that unity and mutual understanding are critical ingredients for meaningful progress.
According to him, a shared sense of purpose and collective responsibility will enable the state to overcome challenges and unlock greater opportunities for growth and development.
“Our strength as a people lies in our unity,” he stated. “When we work together in peace and mutual respect, we create the foundation for progress, stability, and prosperity that will benefit present and future generations.”
Chief Uzor-Kalu also called on citizens to use the festive period to strengthen family bonds, promote kindness, and extend support to the less privileged, stressing that genuine celebration is reflected in compassion and service to humanity.
“This season calls us to open our hearts to one another and to be mindful of those who are in need,” he said.
“By sharing love and extending a helping hand, we reinforce the true meaning of Christmas and build stronger, more caring communities.”
Looking ahead to the New Year, MUK expressed optimism and offered prayers for peace, good health, and economic advancement for Abia State and its people. He encouraged leaders and citizens alike to remain hopeful and committed to the ideals of justice, fairness, and inclusive development.
“As we step into the New Year, I pray for peace, renewed hope, and shared progress for Ndi Abia,” he added. “May the coming year usher in greater opportunities, improved livelihoods, and a stronger sense of unity among our people.”
In conclusion, Mascot Uzor-kalu wished Abians a joyful celebration and a fulfilling year ahead, urging them to sustain the spirit of love, unity, and cooperation beyond the festive season.
“I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy, Prosperous New Year,” he said.
