CONCERNED Members of Aba sports club 1926 has frowned to a publication disseminated to some media houses in Abia and carried in the social media space to disrespect their revered President Owelle Greg Okeafor. In a release made available to Newsmen In Umuahia, the Concerned Members reiterated that in as much as they do not have any misgiving in ICPC doing their job, that they are miffed that the sponsor of the article and his co-travellers could descend so low and resort to blackmail and media trial just to desparage the towering image of the 66th President of Aba Sports Club 1926. "If we must ask, when has it become a crime to win election?" Moreso election in a Sports Club that was adjudged the freest and fairest in the club's history. Again If not for ulterior motive hinged on pecuniary expectations, why would someone for the mere reason of being denied the Presidency of the Club, go this ugly route of attacking his opponent's business, academics, social and even religious beliefs. Now the club knows better why discerning minds warned against allowing such nefarous and desperate character from becoming the president of our great club. The question begging for answer is why would someone who has taken a matter to all strata of the judiciary, reported same matter to ICPC (as claimed), still feel unsafe even when his perceived opponent has not taken any retaliatory step. Why inveigh and vituperate a man just because the generality of Aba Sports Club 1926 members have found him fit, proper and worthy to be our president at this auspicious time. Okay now that you have reportedly gone to ICPC to bring down the foundation of Abia Poly because your over bloated ego can not allow you be alive to see one of its students reign as president of Aba Sports Club, wouldn't it have been more decent for you to wait and see the eventual outcomes of your numerous court cases and frivolous petitions. Why junket all media houses and social media platforms in a bid to malign the personality of Owelle Greg Okafor?. For your information the club is moving on strongly with him as president. The man you are wasting your miserable time attacking, has since begun implementation of his campaign promises to the admiration of club members. As CONCERNED MEMBERS OF ABA SPORTS CLUB 1926 let us reiterate that no amount of campaign of calumny either from you or your cohorts who have made themselves a hackney for your purveyance of evil will make the club loose sleep even for one minute or remove an iota from the respect we have for our 66th President Owelle Greg Okafor.
