Lawmaker, Hon. Nwachi Criticizes Despicable' attack on Military Checkpoint in Aba


Hon. Matthias Nwachi, the distinguished member representing Ụmụnneochi in the Abia House of Assembly, has strongly condemned the recent attack on a military checkpoint at Obikabia in Aba, Abia state.

The checkpoint was attacked yesterday, May 30, 2024 by unidentified gunmen, resulting in the loss of the lives of four soldiers, sparking widespread outrage.

Hon. Nwachi described the attack as "unfair and despicable," joining a chorus of condemnation from various individuals and stakeholders.

In his statement, Nwachi expressed his sympathy for the victims and their families, and called for greater efforts to ensure the security and safety of citizens in Abia state. 
His condemnation of the attack reflects the widespread sentiment and outrage felt by many in Abia State.

"Such attacks undermine the security efforts in our state and instill fear among the residents and it is imperative that those responsible are brought to justice swiftly," he stated.

In conclusion, he called for increased security measures and cooperation between the public and law enforcement agencies.
