In a historic move, the Abia State House of Assembly has successfully passed the first private member bill of the Eighth Assembly.
The bill, sponsored by HON Emeka Obioma MHA, Chief Whip and member representing Umuahia South state constituency, is titled "A Bill to Establish Colleges of Nursing Sciences Owned by Faith-Based and Private Establishments in Abia State and for Other Related Purposes."
This groundbreaking legislation marks a significant milestone in the state's efforts to enhance the healthcare education sector.
