Igbo World Union Commends President Tinubu's Renewed Hope Estates Programme

The Igbo World Union (IWU) has praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the Federal Government's Renewed Hope Cities and Estates Programme, which has brought 250 housing units to Abia State. The union commended the President and Minister Ahmed Dangiwa for their commitment to providing affordable housing.

"The Igbo World Union is impressed by the President's vision to address the housing deficit in Nigeria.
This programme is a testament to the government's dedication to the welfare of its citizens," President IWU, Amb. Sir Mishak Nnanta (KJW), Gburugburu Ndigbo Dum stated.

"We commend President Tinubu for his leadership and commitment to providing affordable housing for Nigerians," Sir Nnanta continued. "This programme will not only provide shelter but also stimulate economic growth and development."

Gburugburu further stated, "This is a laudable initiative that demonstrates responsible governance. We applaud the present administration for its efforts in addressing the housing needs of Nigerians."
"The Renewed Hope Estates Programme is a welcome initiative that will benefit many families in Abia State and across the country,"he added. "We urge the government to continue implementing programmes that benefit the citizens of Nigeria."

Recall that the groundbreaking ceremony for the Renewed Hope Estate in Bende Local Government Area, Abia State, was recently performed by the Governor and Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Ahmed Musa Dangiwa. This project is part of the Federal Government's larger plan to build 50,000 housing units across the country under phase one of the programme.

The Minister revealed that the 12 Renewed Hope Estates flagged off so far are being funded under the N50 billion 2023 Supplementary Budget approved by the President. The programme has covered eight states in the South and North-Central zones, with each state receiving 250 housing units, totaling 2,000 units in the second round of groundbreaking.

The Igbo World Union's commendation highlights the positive impact of the government's initiatives in addressing the housing needs of Nigerians.
