Hon. Emeka Obioma Calls for Collective Prayer For Unity, Compassion, and Progress in Umuahia South

Umuahia,Abia State –
Hon. Emeka Obioma, member representating Umuahia South state constituency in Abia House of Assembly, has emphasized the critical importance of unity and compassion within the Christian community.

Speaking in Umuahia on Sunday, he urged believers to embrace the spirit of love and charity by reaching out to those in need, particularly the less privileged who are disproportionately affected by the ongoing economic challenges.

Hon. Obioma highlighted that acts of kindness, no matter how small, can significantly impact lives and contribute to a stronger, more harmonious society.
In these trying times, it is essential that we uphold the values Christ taught us—love, compassion, and selflessness,” he stated.

The lawmaker also called on churches and Christian organizations to lead by example, encouraging initiatives aimed at alleviating the plight of the underprivileged.
He stressed that unity within the Christian community could inspire broader societal transformation, fostering an environment where everyone looks out for one another.

Charity is not just about giving material things,” Hon. Obioma noted.
It is about showing care, understanding, and solidarity with those who are struggling. Together, we can make a meaningful difference.”

As the country faces economic hardships, Obioma's message is a call to action for all to embody the teachings of Christ in their daily lives, strengthening bonds within the community while offering hope to those most in need.

He also called for collective prayer for unity, compassion, and progress in Umuahia South, Abia State and Nigeria at large.
