In a heartwarming show of support and commendation, Chief Uzor Akabuogu, a Lagos-based business tycoon and philanthropist from Arịam Usaka in Ikwuano LGA, has publicly applauded the Member representing Ikwuano/Umuahia North and Umuahia South Federal Constituency, Hon. Obi Aguocha, for what he described as “quality and wholesome representation” at the National Assembly.
Speaking during a recent stakeholders/Constituency meeting, Chief Uzor did not mince words in praising the lawmaker’s commitment to good governance, transparency, and grassroots empowerment.
“We know you will deliver,” Chief Uzor Akabuogu said confidently.
“From the moment you took office, you showed you were not here for politics as usual. Your dedication, honesty, and focus on the needs of our people have brought a breath of fresh air to our constituency.”
Chief Uzor emphasized that Hon. Aguocha’s efforts in education, youth development, infrastructural upliftment, and legislative advocacy have already made measurable impacts within a short period in office.
He particularly commended the lawmaker for initiating programs that directly address the needs of rural communities.
“Your student support initiative that provided educational materials and bursaries to students across the wards is a clear example of people-oriented leadership,” he said.
“You are not waiting for election time to show up in our villages; you are already present, already working, already listening.”
He further noted that Hon. Aguocha has remained a strong voice on the floor of the National Assembly, pushing for fairness, equity, and justice, especially for the South East region.
“You have taken our issues to Abuja without fear or favor,” Chief Uzor added.
“You speak boldly and act wisely. That is the kind of leadership we need in these critical times.”
The event also witnessed testimonies from youth leaders, women groups, and traditional rulers, all expressing their appreciation for Hon. Aguocha’s developmental strides and responsive representation.
In his brief remarks, Hon. Obi Aguocha thanked Chief Uzor Akabuogu and the entire constituency for their trust and encouragement, reiterating his commitment to transparent, accountable, and people-first leadership.
