President Bola Tinubu on Monday greeted an old friend, Alex Sigman, from Chicago State University, who hailed from Belarus, at the inauguration of tractors in Abuja.
Tinubu said Sigman was his neighbour when he was schooling in the United States, and they never preempted seeing themselves in the position they are today.
The President, who addressed the man who stood for recognition at the event as a successful businessman from Belarus, stressed that their institution would be proud of the moment.
“My dear very good friend, the story must be clear here. Alex Sigman, howe are you. Thank you and congratulation. When we were together at Chicago STate University, he was my very good neighbour.
“Neither did we preempt that I will be the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, nor did we see Sigman as a successful businessman willing to bring a bilateral relationship that will promote economic prosperity that will benefit our two countries.
“Thank you Alex, I believe our university will be proud of us today.”
