Super Eagles winger, Samuel Chukwueze, has pledged to scout and market local talents for national and international clubs
He made the pledged in Umouahia during the finals of the 4th edition of “All Stars ChampionshipLeague’ which he sponsored in collaboration with De Concept on Sunday.
According to the footballer the discovery of new footballers from local sporting events, such as this would help Nigeria in having a more prosperous future in football competitions.
He said league would help market many raw talents in the international football market, adding that such football competitions would lead to discovery of many hidden talents who would represent states and the country in football competition at all levels and as well, become football stars across the world.
“This is the place I grew up from. I also want other talents to be discovered from here and showcased, and I hope the world is watching”, Chukwueze said during the competition beamed live across the world
While expressing confidence that many players who featured in the competition would be scouted for by foreign clubs, Chuckwueze challenged young talents in the states and the entire country to utilize every sporting event to showcase their potentials instead of wasting their talents in vices that will be to their detriment.
He also advised government at all levels to budget for and promotion sports through equipment and encouragement so that sports will be fully developed in the country.
