The lawmaker, while addressing the women during the distribution exercise, described the gesture as a token of appreciation for their steadfastness, loyalty, and active participation in sustaining the structure.
He noted that the women have continued to play a vital role in building social cohesion within the constituency.
According to him, “The Excess Grace Women have stood out as a symbol of strength and unity in Umuahia North. Your consistent support and resilience, especially in standing by one another during times of difficulty, show that you are not just a structure but a family. I deeply appreciate your commitment, and this support package is my little way of saying thank you.”
Hon. Akaliro further highlighted the importance of empathy and solidarity in strengthening community resilience, pointing to their recent act of rallying around one of their members during a bereavement.
He emphasized that such unity remains the foundation for lasting social progress.
He added, “When women unite, families and communities are strengthened. Your ability to comfort and uplift one another is a clear demonstration of the spirit we need to build a stronger society.
