The Nigerian Society of Engineers, Bauchi State chapter, has expressed its readiness to partner with the state government through professional expertise and technical support to ensure that the outcome of the Memoranda of Understanding signed during the recently concluded Bauchi Investment Summit are translated into a sustainable reality.

Speaking with newsmen on Sunday, the Chairman of NSE, Bauchi chapter, Engineer Abdulkarim Hassan, while congratulating the Bauchi State Government for the successful organisation and completion of the maiden economic and investment summit, noted that the summit did not only demonstrated the administration’s commitment to economic transformation but also showcased the capability of Nigerian engineers, citing the newly constructed International Conference Centre (ICC) — venue of the summit — which was built by a Nigerian construction company.

“The feeling is mutual because if the governor didn’t have confidence in Nigerian engineers, he would have engaged foreign professionals to handle the project,” Hassan said.

He added, “We extend our profound congratulations to the governor on the successful completion of the Bauchi Investment Summit. This summit was not merely an event. It was a clear demonstration of his visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to transforming Bauchi State into a prime destination for investment.

The quality of delegates, the insightful discussions, and the tangible commitments secured during the summit have set a new benchmark for economic engagement in the North-East and beyond.”

Hassan also lauded the emphasis placed on infrastructure, industrialisation, and technological development during the summit, describing them as the “key pillars that will drive sustainable growth” in the state.

He commended Governor Bala Mohammed for the feat achieved during the summit, which reportedly recorded investment commitments worth $5 billion.
