In a landmark development for education in Isiukwuato Local Government Area, Hon. Onyekwere Akym Uche (OAU) has successfully facilitated the establishment of a National Teachers’ Institute (NTI) center in the area, a major stride aimed at improving teacher training and educational standards across the community.
According to a press release issued on Monday, OAU not only attracted the institution but has also gone further to purchase the required number of registration forms to ensure the new center secures full accreditation.
The forms, which are completely free of charge, are available at his residence for all interested candidates.
Speaking on the initiative, Hon. Onyekwere Akym Uche described the move as part of his unwavering commitment to human capital development, especially in the education sector.
“Our teachers are the foundation of every successful society. Bringing NTI to Isiukwuato will empower our people, create access to teacher education, and open new doors for professional growth,” he stated.
The National Teachers’ Institute (NTI) offers the Nigerian Certificate in Education (NCE) program, which qualifies candidates for professional teaching positions in schools.
To participate, interested applicants are expected to obtain and complete the free forms and submit them along with the following documents:
- One office file
- One recent passport photograph
- Birth certificate
- SSCE or equivalent qualification
- Valid email address
- NIN and phone number
The official screening and enrollment exercise has been scheduled for October 25, 2025, at Isiukwuato High School, beginning at 9:00 a.m. prompt. The process will be conducted on a first come, first served basis.
Applicants are advised to submit their completed forms through the Isiukwuato LGA Educational Secretary before the October 25 deadline.
