“Your tireless efforts for Ikwuano’s development deserve every commendation,” — Hon. Osinachi Nwaka To Aguocha on Landmark Bills

The Director-General of the Ministry of Finance Incorporated (MOFI), Hon. Osinachi Hycinth Nwaka, has lauded Hon. Obi Aguocha, the Member representing Ikwuano/Umuahia North and Umuahia South Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, for his visionary legislative strides aimed at transforming Ikwuano and improving the welfare of its people.

In a letter of commendation dated October 31, 2025, Hon. Nwaka expressed deep admiration for Hon. Aguocha’s sponsorship of two landmark bills seeking to establish a Federal Medical Centre (FMC) in Ikwuano and to create additional Local Government Areas within the area; Ikwuano North and Ikwuano South.

According to Nwaka, the two bills represent a bold and historic step toward addressing long-standing developmental gaps in Ikwuano. 

He described Aguocha’s legislative intervention as “visionary and transformative,” noting that it demonstrates a deep commitment to advancing the health, governance, and economic prospects of the constituency.

The establishment of a Federal Medical Centre will undoubtedly enhance access to quality healthcare services for the people of Ikwuano, while the creation of additional Local Government Areas will bring governance closer to the people, fostering development and economic growth,” Hon. Nwaka stated.

He further applauded Hon. Aguocha for his tireless efforts and unwavering dedication to the progress and well-being of his constituents, describing him as “a shining example of effective representation.” 

Nwaka added that Aguocha’s passion for equitable development and people-centered governance stands as an inspiration to many public servants across Abia State and beyond.

Your leadership and commitment to public service are an inspiration to many, and I have no doubt that these bills will have a lasting impact on the lives of the people of Ikwuano,” he wrote.

Concluding his letter, Hon. Nwaka congratulated Hon. Aguocha for his remarkable achievements and wished him continued success in his legislative duties. 

He also expressed optimism that the proposed Federal Medical Centre and new Local Government Areas will significantly accelerate socio-economic development and improve governance outcomes in Ikwuano.

The commendation adds to the growing chorus of voices acknowledging Hon. Obi Aguocha’s active representation and developmental initiatives at the National Assembly, especially his consistent advocacy for infrastructural renewal, justice, and equity across his constituency and the South-East region.
