ADC opens Yobe office, unveils two committees

Ahead of the 2027 general elections, the African Democratic Congress, on Monday, inaugurated its new state office in Damaturu, Yobe State, urging members of the party to work together in order to achieve its set goals.

He said, “This milestone reflects the party’s growing structure, strengthened grassroots presence, and commitment to offering a credible political alternative to the people of Yobe State.

Each Local Government Area sent representatives, showing strong unity and commitment to a more inclusive and people-centred political movement.”

The ADC leader further announced the formation of two key committees: the Public Awareness Creation Committee and the Committee for Registration and Revalidation.

These committees are crucial for managing the party’s operations and enhancing engagement at the grassroots level,” Waziri emphasised.

He explained further that the Transitional Leadership Committee would work with the current state leadership to identify key offices, raise awareness, rally supporters, and coordinate activities statewide.

“The Public Awareness Committee is led by Hon. Mohammed Kori, while Prof. Muhammad Ibrahim Jawa chairs the Registration and Revalidation Committee.

“The committees have 90 days to establish structures at the state, local government, ward, and unit levels,” the ADC leader added.

Our correspondent reports that the ceremony attracted prominent leaders, including Mrs. Dr. Zainab Haruna, Gambo Ma’aji, Kashim Ngaidam, and many other party loyalists and supporters.
