ABIA LAWMAKER ANDERSON AKALIRO CHALLENGES CHRISTIANS TO BE A FORCE FOR GOOD

Umuahia, Abia State -
Anderson Akaliro, member representing Umuahia North (Ohuhu) State Constituency in Abia House of Assembly, has urged Christians to engage in community service, emphasizing the need for them to be a force for good in society.

Speaking on Sunday, Akaliro challenged Christians to move beyond mere attendance and participation in church activities, and to actively seek ways to make a positive impact in their communities.

"As Christians, we are called to be the salt and light of the world," Akaliro said. "We must not only preach the gospel, but also demonstrate it through our actions. We must be a force for good, bringing hope and transformation to those around us."

Akaliro highlighted the numerous challenges facing the state, including poverty, poor infrastructure, and inadequate healthcare, and emphasized the role that Christians can play in addressing these issues.

"We have the power to make a difference," Akaliro said.
"We must rise up and take responsibility for our communities. We must engage in community service, support the needy, and advocate for justice and equality."

The lawmaker commended churches and Christian organizations that are already engaging in community service, and encouraged others to follow their example.

"I urge all Christians to join hands and work together to build a better society," he said. "We can achieve great things if we work together."
