IWU President, Nnanta Lauds Gov. Otti For Scholarship Programme, says It's Worthy of Emulation

The President-General of the Igbo World Union (IWU), His Imperial Majesty Sir Mishak Nnanta, Gburugburu Ndigbo Dum has commended Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, for his commitment to education, particularly his recent award of scholarships to 46 indigent students.

Sir Nnanta described Gov. Otti's priority on education as "worthy of emulation" and praised him for his vision to create a functional educational system in Abia State.
He noted that the Governor's scholarship programme, which has benefited hundreds of students, is a testament to his dedication to empowering the youth.

The IWU President emphasized that Gov. Otti's approach to education is a significant departure from the usual practice of awarding scholarships based on connections. Instead, he has ensured that the selection process is merit-based, giving opportunities to those who genuinely need them.

Sir Nnanta urged other politicians and stakeholders to adopt Gov. Otti's vision for a better Abia, where education prevails. He also advised the scholarship awardees to take their studies seriously to maintain their cumulative grade point average (CGPA) and continue enjoying the scholarship.

The IWU President expressed his commitment to replicating Gov. Otti's systematic method in his locality, as he has done in the past through participating in and sponsoring youth empowerment programs.

Gov. Otti's scholarship programme has been hailed as a significant step in involving the youth and empowering them through free education. His commitment to education has been consistent, and his approach has been praised for its focus on merit and need.
