Eid-El-Fitr: Hon. Emeka Obioma Calls for Peace, Tolerance as He Felicitates With Muslim Faithful


Umuahia, Abia State – April 2025 – 

In the spirit of unity and religious harmony, Hon. Emeka Obioma, the Chief Whip of the Abia State House of Assembly and representative of Umuahia South, has extended his heartfelt felicitations to the Muslim faithful on the joyous occasion of Eid-el-Fitr.

In a statement issued from his office, Hon. Obioma emphasized the significance of Eid-el-Fitr as a time of thanksgiving, love, and reflection, marking the end of the sacred month of Ramadan. 

He acknowledged the sacrifices made during the fasting period and the spiritual renewal it brings to individuals, families, and communities.

As our Muslim brothers and sisters celebrate the successful completion of Ramadan, I extend my warmest congratulations and best wishes. 

"Eid-el-Fitr is a period of gratitude, charity, and strengthening of faith, and I urge everyone to embrace its core values of love, peace, and tolerance,” Hon. Obioma stated.

The lawmaker highlighted the importance of religious harmony and peaceful coexistence in fostering a more united and prosperous society. He called on Nigerians of all faiths to use this opportunity to reflect on the values of patience, kindness, and generosity that Ramadan teaches.

Hon. Obioma also emphasized the need for collective efforts in nation-building, urging Nigerians to work together across religious and ethnic divides to promote peace and sustainable development. 

He assured the Muslim community in his constituency and beyond of his unwavering support in ensuring their rights and welfare are upheld.

In our shared humanity, we must continue to promote unity, understanding, and tolerance. Nigeria is a diverse nation, and our strength lies in our ability to respect and celebrate our differences while working towards a common goal of national progress,” he added.

He further encouraged the faithful to extend the spirit of charity beyond Ramadan by continuing to show kindness to the less privileged and fostering goodwill among neighbors.

As the celebrations continues, Hon. Emeka Obioma prayed for God's blessings, prosperity, and good health for all Muslims and for the peace and stability of Nigeria as a whole. 

He expressed his confidence that through unity and dedication, the nation would overcome its challenges and emerge stronger.
