Hon Anderson Akaliro Rallies Constituents to Embrace Unity, Integrity for Generational Progress

Umuahia, Abia State — May 12, 2025

Hon. Barr. Anderson Kelechi Akaliro, Member representing Umuahia North Constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly, has urged Nigerians, particularly his constituents, to continue upholding the values of unity, resilience, and integrity as the nation works toward a better and more prosperous future.

Addressing a gathering of community leaders, youth groups, and stakeholders at a civic engagement forum held in Umuahia on Sunday, Akaliro emphasized that sustainable development and national progress can only be achieved when citizens collectively commit to values that build rather than divide.

Let us continue to uphold unity, resilience, and integrity as we build a better future for ourselves and the next generation,” Akaliro declared.

Our communities are stronger when we stand together, support each other, and reject every form of division or hatred.

Akaliro, a seasoned lawyer and legislator known for his grassroots approach to governance, pointed out that the challenges facing Nigeria require a united front driven by patriotism and moral discipline.

We must rise above our differences, whether political, ethnic or religious, and embrace the common goal of nation-building. No meaningful progress can happen where there is division or mistrust,” he stated.

The integrity of our leaders and citizens alike must be non-negotiable. It is the foundation upon which accountability and development are built.”

The lawmaker also commended the resilience of the people of Umuahia North and Abia State at large, noting that despite economic hardship and limited infrastructure, they have continued to demonstrate a strong spirit of endurance and faith in the democratic process.

Our people have shown extraordinary resilience through difficult times. This is the spirit that must be harnessed and redirected towards self-reliance, education, and entrepreneurial growth,” he said.

Together, we must continue to support policies and initiatives that reflect our collective values and serve the interests of the common man.

Akaliro concluded by reaffirming his commitment to legislative advocacy that champions equity, education, and opportunities for the youth and vulnerable in society.

He also called on other public servants to lead with integrity and prioritize the welfare of their constituents over personal gain.
