Abia State, August 12, 2025 —
The people of Ikwuano, Umuahia North, and Umuahia South Federal Constituency have received a fresh wave of hope as their representative in the House of Representatives, Hon. Obi Aguocha, has announced a comprehensive triple-impact package aimed at grassroots political structures, small businesses, welfare needs, and palliatives for the most vulnerable.
Speaking at a recent executive meeting of the Obi Aguocha Frontliners in Umuahia, Hon. Aguocha revealed that the initiative will commence next month and will include monthly stipends to fund logistics for ward-level political meetings, the first phase of monthly business and welfare grants, and the distribution of palliatives across all wards.
According to him, the move is part of a deliberate effort to strengthen the constituency’s grassroots network, stimulate small-scale economic activity, and provide direct relief to struggling households.
“This is not just about politics; it is about sustaining the structures that connect us with the people, empowering small businesses to grow, and making sure our most vulnerable constituents are not left behind,” Hon. Aguocha said.
The lawmaker commended members of his support base for their steadfast dedication to his shared vision with Gov. Alex Otti to build a better Abia State.
“Your commitment has been the driving force behind the progress we have recorded so far. We are building something enduring in partnership with Dr. Alex Otti, and together we are proving that good governance and accountability are possible,” he stated.
Hon. Aguocha also urged members and supporters to remain focused and ignore the distractions of false narratives being peddled by political opponents.
“The spread of misinformation is a tactic used to undermine genuine progress. But the truth is clear, our verifiable achievements in less than three years already surpass those of all my predecessors combined. Facts will always speak louder than propaganda,” he said.
He called on the leaders and stakeholders to continuously inform the public about his completed projects and ongoing people-centered programs instead of wasting energy on detractors.
“Let us be the voice of truth in our communities. Talk about the schools we have renovated, the roads we have influenced, the empowerment programs we are funding. These are the things that matter to our people,” Hon. Aguocha urged.
Closing on a note of unity and optimism, he encouraged members to keep supporting Gov. Otti’s administration, describing the governor as a visionary leader with the best interest of Abians at heart.
“Gov. Alex Chioma Otti is charting a new course for Abia. He is a leader who truly cares for our people, and we must give him our full backing. Together, we will deliver on our promises and ensure a brighter future for every Abian,” he concluded.
