Turkish football commentator Tanju Çolak has backed Victor Osimhen to score 30 goals for Galatasaray this season, whilst predicting another league title for the Istanbul giants.
The former Turkey international’s bold prediction comes after Osimhen’s impressive start to life at Galatasaray following his permanent transfer from Napoli during the summer transfer window.
The 26-year-old, who led Galatasaray to the Turkish Super Lig and Turkish Cup titles last season with 26 league goals, has already opened his account for the new campaign.
Osimhen scored his first goal of the season as Galatasaray defeated Kayserispor 4-0 last weekend, turning home a cross from Italian winger Nicolo Zaniolo in the 86th minute.
Osimhen will score at least 25 goals this season; it could be 30.”
Having now completed his permanent move from Napoli, Osimhen will be looking to maintain the prolific form that made him one of Europe’s most sought-after strikers.
The Nigerian’s familiarity with Turkish football, combined with his proven goal-scoring record at Galatasaray, suggests Çolak’s prediction could prove accurate as the season progresses.
With Galatasaray’s attacking firepower and Osimhen’s proven track record, the Istanbul club will be confident of defending the domestic double.
