The Forum of All Progressives Congress Local Government Party Chairmen of Nigeria, South-West zone, has declared its support for President Bola Tinubu second-term bid, declaring that Tinubu’s re-election in 2027 “is not negotiable”.

The forum, at its South-West quarterly meeting held on Saturday at the June 12 Cultural Centre, Abeokuta, pledged to intensify grassroots mobilisation to ensure a landslide victory for the President and reclaim Oyo and Osun states from the opposition Peoples Democratic Party.

In a communique issued after the meeting, the forum said President Tinubu had demonstrated courage and vision through decisive policies aimed at steering the country back to economic prosperity and stability, stressing that his leadership must be sustained until 2031.

Speaking at the event, the National Chairman of the forum and Chairman of APC LG Chairmen in Ogun State, Mr. Henry Fagbenro, commended President Tinubu and Governor Dapo Abiodun for prioritising development projects that promote economic growth and national stability.

The South-West is the home base of our hardworking President, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu,” Fagbenro said. “He has done fantastically well in redefining good governance since his election over two years ago. The South-West is saying that President Tinubu deserves another term till 2031, and we will do everything within the law to make this a reality.”

Fagbenro noted that four South-West states—Ekiti, Ondo, Lagos, and Ogun—remain under APC control, adding that massive grassroots mobilisation would be launched to win back Oyo and Osun.

“We will go from door to door, house to house, community to community, and market to market to strengthen the party and ensure victory at both the presidential and gubernatorial elections,” he added.
