Amachara 2025 Thanksgiving: Hon. Obioma Applauds Community Unity, Educational Advancement

The Member representing Umuahia South State Constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly, Hon. Emeka Obioma, has felicitated with the people of Amachara Autonomous Community on the occasion of their 2025 Thanksgiving Day, an event that also featured a civic reception in honour of Assistant Inspector General of Police, AIG Enyinnaya Adiogu, MPhil, FSI, and the official launch of the Amachara Educational Fund.

Hon. Obioma joined Ndi Amachara in celebrating the successful hosting of the event, describing the occasion as a profound expression of gratitude to God, unity among the people, and a renewed commitment to the growth and development of the community. He also commended the organizers, traditional leadership, and indigenes of Amachara for coming together to make the Thanksgiving Day both impactful and memorable.
Speaking at the event, Hon. Obioma praised the foresight behind the establishment of the Amachara Educational Fund, noting that education remains one of the most powerful tools for empowering young people and securing a prosperous future for any society. According to him, investing in education is a long-term strategy that yields lasting dividends for both the present and future generations.
This Educational Fund is a bold and commendable step by the people of Amachara. When a community prioritizes education, it is deliberately choosing progress, empowerment, and sustainability,” Hon. Obioma said. 
By supporting the academic dreams of our children, we are laying a solid foundation for a better tomorrow, not just for Amachara but for Umuahia South and Abia State as a whole.”

The lawmaker also highlighted the significance of the civic reception held in honour of AIG Enyinnaya Adiogu, describing it as a fitting recognition of excellence, service, and dedication to national development. He noted that celebrating distinguished sons and daughters of the land serves as an inspiration to the younger generation and reinforces the values of hard work and integrity.
Honouring achievers like AIG Enyinnaya Adiogu sends a strong message to our youths that excellence and selfless service are always rewarded,” Obioma stated. 
It encourages our young people to aspire to greatness and to contribute positively to society wherever they find themselves.”

The Thanksgiving ceremony attracted several notable dignitaries, including Hon. Obi Aguocha, Member representing Ikwuano/Umuahia North and South Federal Constituency, and the Executive Mayor of Umuahia South Local Government Area, Engr. Chinedu Enwereuzo, alongside traditional rulers, political leaders, community stakeholders, and well-wishers from within and outside the area.
In his remarks, Hon. Obioma emphasized the importance of strong collaboration between elected representatives and grassroots communities in driving sustainable development. He reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to supporting initiatives that promote education, peace, unity, and socio-economic advancement across Umuahia South State Constituency.
