Umuahia North Rep. Anderson Akaliro applauds President Bola Tinubu for Renewed Hope Estates Program

Abia Assembly lawmaker, Hon. Barr. Anderson Akaliro (APC), has praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Minister Ahmed Dangiwa for their dedication to the Renewed Hope Cities and Estates Program, which has introduced 250 housing units to Abia State.

Recall that the Federal Government, through the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development, is constructing 50,000 housing units nationwide in the first phase of its Renewed Hope Housing Cities and Estates Program.

"This is the mark of a responsible government, and we are witnessing it now under the current administration," Akaliro said.
Akaliro continued, "President Tinubu has shown a deep commitment to improving the living conditions of Nigerians. The Renewed Hope Estates Program is a testament to his vision for a better, more inclusive Nigeria. This initiative will provide much-needed housing and contribute significantly to the development of our communities."

The lawmaker further emphasized the importance of the project for Abia State. "These housing units will not only provide shelter but also create job opportunities during the construction phase and beyond. It's a comprehensive approach to addressing both housing and economic challenges. President Tinubu's leadership in this regard is truly commendable."

Recently, the groundbreaking ceremony for the 250 Renewed Hope Estate units took place in Bende Local Government Area, near Umuahia, the capital city of Abia State. The event was attended by the Governor and the Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Arc Ahmed Musa Dangiwa.

Akaliro expressed his gratitude for the Federal Government's efforts.
"The people of Abia State are grateful for this initiative. It shows that our leaders are listening and responding to the needs of the people. Minister Dangiwa's dedication to ensuring the success of this program is equally praiseworthy."

The Abia State groundbreaking is part of the broader Renewed Hope Cities and Estates initiative launched by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in February 2024. The second phase of groundbreaking includes projects in eight states across the South and North-Central zones: Ebonyi, Abia, Akwa Ibom, Delta, Osun, Oyo, Benue, and Nasarawa. Each state will receive 250 housing units, totaling 2,000 units in this phase.
